Some people would rather bond with Katie Couric.

I think that is the truer version in this particular case.

I think idealistically, one would think that crisis would strengthen family bonds. And that certainly can happen. But in actuality, grief, especially that expereinced after the loss of a child, is so complex that it often results in misunderstanding, communication issues and emotional distance. Another very sad biproduct of an already tragic situation.

I could think of other women I'd prefer to bond with if I had to made a choice.

Ole Dave is either being a great big glomming attention whore all by himself, or someone in the Bush camp put him up to this, in a lame attempt to discredit Sheehan.

It worked. Just look at the effect it has on Salsa. He'll buy into anything that discredits liberals.

Dean has already apologized for the anti-semetic rantings of one of the witnesses Cong. Conyers invited to testify at the anti-Iraq war hearing he held at DNC headquarters. The problem with that particular movement is that too many in it don't seem to care that they have attracted groups and individuals who hate Israel or Jews in general.

Their presence in the movement is much older than Sheehan's protest in Crawford.

I will "buy" things? Yeah, Ezra, I am a sheep looking for guidance in where to go and what to believe. I do not need to work hard to discredit liberals. I just point out their ideological views, show their verbatim quotes, and let the awkward silence speak for me.

"Every member of Bush's executive branch (past and present) and every member of Congress who voted to give George the authority to invade Iraq have innocent blood on their hands. For the next State of the Union address, maybe the hypocrites in Congress should shamefacedly display blood-soaked hands, instead of proudly wriggling fingers stained with ink to symbolize sham Iraqi elections."

----Cindy "Peace Mom" Sheehan

You read it right. Your hero; your leader; your beacon of anti-war sentiment has said it. EVERY member of Congress. That means Hillary.

According to Sheehan's own words--which you all swear by, which Maureen Dowd said were "absolute"--Hillary Clinton has blood on her hands and should be ashamed.
