This was a post on another website which I am a member...please tell me your thoughts and or concerns.


Since people want to rate me as Oprah I just wanted to take the time out to talk about her show yesterday. This was heart wrenching and me and my mother watching the show we did not have a dry eye. A lot of the problems that are effecting Africa are now effecting Haiti now even more. By the year 2010 there will be no adults in the part of Africa where Oprah visited only children. There were two especially deep parts that had me sobbing uncontrollably it is when the little girl said she would be the luckest lil girl in the world if she had a uniform to go to school....a $6.00 uniform...this lil girl had no parents both of which died from Aids. The other was when the women went to the local clinic they knew she had Aids but only provided her with medication for cramps and diareah. They have no medicine or proper treatment for those will the deadly illness. Now I know all of us have at least a $1.00 to spare why not start up a charity on this site to help contribute to Haiti and for those who are sick. We could also use that money to help build homes and stop the deforesstation there also by planting seedlings to help our forest grow back. I know this is far fetched but I know it can work. I know a lot of us don't trust those charitable organizations out there but if we started our own then how can we complain. I don't know exactly how ...but I know we can. If you have positive ideas about starting this campaign for Haiti please contact me via pager. I can call some people I know to help me out on this. If your not serious then why be human.
