Yes, it was. Unlike W, I don't stop caring about babies once they are actually born. And we all know how Oil-For-Food worked out...

The Iraqi government found billions to build dozens of palaces while the sanctions were in place. The Iraqi government found millions to spread bribes around the world.

It couldn't find a dime for medicine for the Iraqi people.

The dead babies were part of the wake-up call for some of us. That was just another reason I supported getting rid of Saddam.

Do I read your statement to suggest the U.S. government should support the governments of places like Zimbabwe, Libya or Sierra Leone?

Handing over cash willy nilly... no... I don't support throwing good money after bad. I do know that ignoring the problem until those governments sort themselves out is not an answer.
