Default Iraq war -for the oil?

Back when this whole Iraq war mess started, I recall people screaming that one of Ws key initiatives was to take control/ownership of the oil/oil trade.

Has this happened?

What oil.

No one seems to be able to move oil in Iraq for more than a few miles before someone blows up a pipeline.

Remember when Iraqi oil was going to pay for this whole damn incursion. Quelle folly.

Do you think they'll ever run out of vehicles to blow up in Iraq?
