It is a great service, no question.
I had one for a few years and killed it I used it so much. Thing is, there was no such thing as on-demand content back then, so it made sense. Honestly, though, given the current market situation in on-demand television, I'd advise upgrading to Comcast's digital on-demand service in lieu of TiVo, just because the hardware is going out of date so quickly at this point; I love the TiVo service, but won't buy another because I think things have evolved past it.
