the last time i used it (admittedly two years ago), the limited download quality to 128k and was generally prohibitive in nature. I switched to winmx and have been happy ever since. sometimes use limewire.

actually making (1) copy of any form of media is acceptable as long as you have purchased that item originally and it is for your own personal use. This holds true for VHS tapes, CD's and even photocopied documents.

The problem is that people are not familar with the laws and this makes things more difficult to enforce. Much less the fact that technology evolves...

Need I mention Xerox in the 70's, Sony (Beta VCRs) in the 80's, CD-R's, DeCSS (DVD) and Napster in the 90's to now.
