Heard about the recent shift in Hollywood to not have smoking scenes? That's censorship, just not coming as an order from the government.

In the USSR all childrens' programming was very negative on smoking, drinking, with overt messages not to do it and that it's not cool. They have been doing it since TV became widespread in the 50's. The US is just catching up, after realizing that that stuff does have an affect. Thankfully they clamped down on the cursing part already.

If those knucklehead commies had actually watched it, they might have noticed that it's somewhat critical of the paranoia of the McCarthyism era. Anyway, those guys have a pretty low opinion of their own citizens if they think they'll take this story at face value and think it actually happened.

I have to go with Winston here. I loved the first three movies and had such high hopes for this one, but was let down when I left the theatre tonight.

Let's just say, after half way into the movie, I kept waiting for Mulder and Scully to make an appearance.

I enjoyed the Crystal Skull as much as all the others. [spoiler] In this one, they just used commies instead of nazis and aliens instead of deities. [/spoiler] What's the problem with that? Is one more believable than the other?

[spoiler]I think mysticism and sci-fi are two different genres. IJ was always about mysticism. This went sci-fi. I didn't feel it was the same flavor as the other movies. [/spoiler]

Now, the trailer for Hellboy II looked awesome. Director of Pan's Labyrinth did it and I got all excited.
