All governments are corrupt, as far as I'm concerned. Our good old USA is definitely corrupt in every which way, shape and form.

Nobody expects there to be an earthquake or a disaster. I'm sure the people who built these buildings are mourning something terribly...or running behind their lawyers.

I feel really bad for those people who didn't have a chance to survive because of the poor quality made buildings they were in.

Most likely, and they're going to be turned into condos when the Olympics are over. Some rooms in the condos will be themed on who resided there, to drive up business (and rent/cost), i.e. "The ____ Loft" (name a competing sports person). They won't be "tofu projects", though an investment in soy and some good ol' outsourcing of a major brand may grant folks a space.
