I dont agree with the russian violence....then again I cant see it from their POV.

My country was built up by hard working immigrants.....their country was a homogeneous society until the fall of the USSR. They dont have the laws that prevent this type of hate.....if you watched the video some government agencies actually encourage it or look the other way.

Right. That's the thing I don't get. I don't think that they have much of a leg to stand on. In fact the guy who is arrested at the end, with the Russian name for Hatchet, looks rather like he is either Georgian or from the Caucaus as well.

Technically, I think we're all squatters, it's just a matter of who got there first (not us, and not the Russians). What's also alarming is that a lot of these victims are university students. It's not like they are living on welfare.

Perhaps they should use their drive to gain skills to be competitive.

None of you guys have the slightest idea about Russia or Russian history...and, note that I distinguish between Russia and the Soviet Union...I don't say this to criticize you, but it is just a fact that the history of Communism is not really understood in the US...I suggest that you research the history and the origins of
Bolshevism/Communism, and what happened to the Russian people when this ideology was imposed on them...it is not a Russian ideology or 'philosophy'...these skinheads you see in the video are just a bunch of young hooligans, and this is just a sensationalist piece of propaganda...but as I said, if you want to get some perspective even on this 'skinhead' mentality, learn about Bolshevism, and how it plunged the Russian people into the abyss...Putin has made great strides in pulling Russia up from the Communist gutter.

I think that I know a thing or two. I'm not a Russian History major, but my great-grandfather was a Cossack, and my grandmother has schooled me plenty. My lullaby was a song about how Lenin and Trotsky were total bastards and stole Russia away.
