Default Made in, eh, Poland?

So what does it mean that China's Lenovo is building an assembly plant in Poland? Like a Silly Philly turnabout dream!

I don't know exactly what you are asking here,
but let me give you some background: Lenovo is a big Chinese computer maker, that seems to be primarily owned by the Communist Chinese government through a front called Legend
Holdings LMT...they are the primary stockholders...a 10-15%
stock holder is the American Globalist 'Investment Group' Texas
Pacific...As for why Poland: the Chinese are hold about $1.5 trillion
in collapsing American treasury bonds/securities...by building a fac-
tory in Poland, they can possibly invest these American dollars &
through operations/cash flow of the factory, recycle them into Euros and Polish Zlotys, which are skyrocketing against the dollar...
Poland also offers a good work environment & workforce, with a
mini 'baby-boom' now occuring, and a government looking to increase foreign investment...Polish workers are more skilled than
most Chinese workers, and although they will cost more in terms of
wages, the overall benefit to China will be as I stated, to move currency out of dollars.

Makes sense, except that it's only 20 million against many billions. And, even Japanese hi-tech companies build mfg plants in China, so it seems unusual to me at least.
Dell also is building in Poland.

Dell is another 'globalist' company that has been shifting operations out of the United States...Dell has been based in Austin TX, and has been laying off Americans...they also are shifting some operations to China...but, as I said, there might be some fear of commiting too heavily to China right now, as China holds so much US debt, that the 'globalists' are looking for more secure investment
opportunities/locations...this is good in the short-term for Poland,
but global capital always moves to where labor is cheapest, so in
the long term, we don't know what the outcome will be...it is something to keep an eye on.

Lenovo's stated strategy is to build it's plants closer to markets in which it is selling it's products. Hence their plant in Mexico to push their goods to the North American market.
Building in Poland puts them in good geographic position to serve all of the European market. Poland has also made several areas throughout the country quite attractive to foreign companies and investors as 'economic zones' with special tax incentives and such. I think businesses in these zones may even be entirely exempt from corporate income taxes.

All this is most likely true, and makes sense from their perspective.

And I'm sure in the future, people in China will be protesting that those damn Europeans are stealing their jobs...

Poles do now how to install lightbulbs...in fact they are also manufactured in Poland...you should refrain from 'anti-Polonia' rhetoric, as this is 'hate speech'.

Pssst. I hear they're selling senses of humor in the Lounge.

You'd better hurry, though, because there are only a couple left. Don't let Bloosum or Shuttheduckup beat you to 'em!
