Poland as it stands right now has lost majority of its young skilled/educated labor force to various Western European countries (mainly England). So hopefully Lenovo will be able to fill all the jobs needed in their factory.

You'd better hurry, though, because there are only a couple left. Don't let Bloosum or Shuttheduckup beat you to 'em!
I am going to report you to the Polish Anti-Defamation League of the Masonic Lodge of Iosef Pilsudski.

Hey, I think he got one of those "sense of humors" before they were all gone.

No big conspiracy on the value of the dollar. They are merely switching tactics by moving manufacturing plants closer to potential global customers. They are also building plants in mexico and india. By building plants closer to the end user they avoid tariffs and associated fulfillment costs.

Hey, maybe American manufacturers could do that here!...Shorten supply lines!...Cheaper than having to ship parts in from China and beyond...Whaddaya think?...Oh, Americans want to make more than $3 a day, you say...this could be a problem.

Then why don't we build our plants in Mexico instead of China?

I don't know where they'll get the workers either. Poland won the Euro 2012 football championships and they're worried that they can't get Polish workers back to build the required stadia.

Tonnes of Polish folks have moved to here to Ireland. I heard someone say there are more Polish speakers in Ireland than Irish Gaelic speakers.

Some of the newpapers print sections in Polish, Polish books in the bookshops, etc.

On the upside is the supermarkets, you can get really nice Polish beer and bread in any Dublin supermarket. Much better than that muck Irish folks call bread.

All the Polish pickled vegetables are a bit weird...

Oh yeah, if you're every visiting Ireland and see a beautiful Irish lass, she's probably Polish...

I absolutely agree. Believe it or not, the fact that americans want more money for manufacturing jobs is rather negligible. By the time companies like nike and microsoft pay off local foreign governments, tariffs, shipping, etc., they are only saving 10-15% on the cost of an item. Hell, when we're already paying $100 for crappy sneakers what does another 10 bucks matter-I'd pay the difference to keep jobs here.
