I've seen some of the housing projects in France first hand and some of them were far worse than what you see in Philadelphia housing projects. France has not done well with integrating the children and grandchildren of immigrants from former French colonies. Most of these people are marginalized to lower economic status. Most also live in poor suburbs while the upper income people live in the cities. Under their laws, everyone is to be treated equally in their society, but with people being people, this does not happen. France has a lot of economic and social changes necessary for it to combat this problem with alienated and angry minority populations.

I'm going to ignore your news article because threads here last summer established that no such riots happen in Paris. Several posters put me straight by saying they know people there and don't see these riots. What more do you need to know?

Here's video of rioters throwing Molotov cocktails at riot police. I suppose there's lessons to be learned here in how not to integrate our immigrant population. Oh, and if you happen to be riding a stolen motorcycle without a license or a helmet, don't forget where the brakes are located.

Sarkoszy has actually been working for the Israeli Mossad for most of his political career...there were reports of Israeli agents involved in the rioting a couple of years ago...America does not hear news like this because our news is censored, but believe me, this Sarkoszy story was news in Europe...we really cannot make a judgement about the cause of this unrest right now.
