Please, those guys where pretty much considered guilty and they had to be proven innocent.

Actually, Drew, the Judicial branch of Afghanistan is governed by a Stera Mahkama (like the Supreme Court here) with subordinate high courts and courts of appeals. There's also a Afghan Independent Human Rights Commission which invetigates Human Rights Abuses and War Crimes.

You just can't miss a chance to cast America in a bad light, can you? Even if it requires overlooking a few of our obvious acheivements.

In a country that has alot of issues with human rights I doubt that the organizations you mentioned, actually have the power to change how these women are treated. More than likely there just more useless committee's that spend time talking and creating reports and no time doing.

I don't need to cast America in a bad light. America shows it's true colors when it talks about freedom and democracy for some countries, yet turns a blind eye when it comes to making money for other countries that straight trample over people's rights. But I forgot, your this great patriot that see's nothing wrong with America and who feels you should not criticize this "great country". I guess your ONLY source for news is FOX.

Do you have anything to contribute to this post besides pointing out people who are unpatriotic in your eyes?

One of the great things about this country is that we supposedly have freedom of speech(and that will be going away soon), so I can say pretty much anything I want. People who blindly follow the U.S's policies scare me, because next people start disappearing for speaking out against their country.

I know you're going to have a hard time understanding this, because it's fairly complex (by your standards), but, the Stera Mahkama actually holds trials, as do the high court and court of appeals, and they are able to pass sentences and have them carried out.

Yes Drew, inspite of the fact that no country in the history of man has done more to bring freedom, health and prosperity to the rest of the world, that we've been by far the most magnanomous super power to ever grace God's Green Earth, because we haven't brought a previously unthinkable level of Nirvana to every last human, America should be reviled.

Rape is a crime of power, not sex. That is why castration wouldn't work. The criminal would use the power in another way. If you are dumb enough to think it is a sexual crime, explain the raping of children and 80 year olds.

With the perspective you stated (see quotes below), you would then agree that if someone dresses well and then gets mugged, it's their fault, that they shouldn't stupidly dress well, or get money out of their wallet or carry a brief case, etc. because they're just inviting getting mugged. A crime is a crime, no matter how tempting it might be to commit it.

"i'm not saying you SHOULDN'T control yourself, but women should know too that some guys don't. why flash a bunch of leg or whatever at a party? why go to some guy's house by yourself? just stupid behavior."

I sure that the woman who was raped in Saudi Arabia was covered from her head down to her feet. If a man wants to rape a female, I doubt he needs naked flesh as a motivation.

Have you really advised someone to commit suicide? Is that a therapeutic option? I'm not being sarcastic or baiting you here, I'm just curious because someone I knew committed suicide and I believe he thought that it was "a final heroic act in a war with the self". Might this have been based on something a psychologist told him?
