Are you being ingeniously sarcastic (kudos, then!) or for real?.. If it's the latter then sorry... Truly sorry...

My point was that as a foreigner, it may be difficult to know what the "legitimate" news sources might be.

AND, as you've pointed out, "legitimate" might also vary depending on one's personal viewpoints, too.

But, whatever. I read international news because I like to know what's going on everywhere in the world, not just in the US. If you don't, fine -- that's your prerogative.

I can't believe what I started, just suggesting a good source of insight and news you seldom get in the U.S. media.

I'm going to try not to be disrespectful and rude. But "To Philly," your posts stagger me. You don't see why you should care what other people in other countries think? After September 11, 2001, that's what you think? I'd say that was an example of the extreme, savage notions of people in other countries hopping over here and biting us in the butt. I'd say it would have been a very good idea for us--especially government officials we pay--to be on to the notions and attitudes being fostered way over there.

Okay, you did not visit www.worldpress.org. If you had, you would have seen pretty tame, innocent news stories, not frothing-at-the-mouth types spewing hatred for us. Here's a sample of today's Worldpress home page. See if this is offensive to you:

"Enhancing Educational and Cultural Values Among Students in Persian Gulf-based Indian Schools." It's about course curricula and the results of a survey.

"Turkish Organized Crime." It is willing to pursue stronger ties with suppliers in Central Asia.

I'll stop here because it rattles my cage to read posts like yours. I don't want to let myself start hurling insults.

It's best to ignore this troll and his alter ego, "From Philly," as many of us are doing. You won't have any kind of a meaningful exchange with him, and all you're doing is helping him achieve what ostensibly seems to be his primary goal here: racking up his number of threads posted.

Good point, Oladybug. I was holding back but that last one pushed me over the edge.
