i base it on god. he said things, people put them down into the bible (this was olden times, when god spoke directly to people) and then that tell us how to live. if you want to live different in you own home, fine, but i live my life based on the Truth, whihc is God and Jesus.

I thought it was quite interesting, and from what I understand, it caused quite a flap, due to its showing of sexual toys. Many Christians were highly upset with the picture. I also have seen a depiction of the Last Supper using 50's icons such as Elvis and James Dean.

I can agree with that, and people want to go around looking like that, that most certainly is their privilege. I would assume the fair is some type of event where part of attending, is trying to look as outrageous as possible.

How about the Holy Spirit? Where does he come in?

I went to a gay-pride parade once when I lived in San Francisco, but just for the spectacle. That was in 1978 and I don't recall seeing any significant public manifestation of gayness anywhere since. Other than a few couples holding hands, of course. In one such case, my teen daughter was with me and seemed grossed out. But I wrote that off to her being young.

So, what's your reason? Are you just a teen or young twenty-something still figuring out how things work? And if a little gay PDA bothers you, do you also object to heterosexuals kissing, holding hands and groping in public view?

Not to take sides, but homosexuality is still considered taboo by a slim majority of the population, and the sight of PDA with gay couples still is very unsettling for many people.

Christians often talk about the immutability of God, i.e., His unchangingness. How do you explain your notion that God once spoke to individuals but doesn't anymore?

And, following up...Could it have anything to do with a desire of church leaders -- who control Bible interpretation and, therefore, what members believe -- to turn a deaf ear to God and listen to them (the leaders) instead?

Ah but he does, through his priests, ministers and rabbis.

Not really, as what they have to say comes from the Bible.
