Default Our "ally" Musharraf done gone CRAZY

First he sacks the Supreme Court preemptively and locks up half the lawyers in the country - the potential core of moderate, secular Pakistan and definitely the exact opposite of Islamic extremists. Now he is trying to lock up the extremely popular former PM Benazhir Bhutto - even though he just a few weeks ago arranged her to return to the country to be part of his "loyal opposition" and secular ally when he becomes a civilian president. The guy we just gave $10 billion to in "War on Terror" aid is now locking up all the secular moderates in his country instead of going after Islamic extremists.

WTF?

This has gotten to be quite the pattern for our foreign diplomacy over the decades.

The paid them to "be on our side". Their support has been tenuous at best.
Before you get all nervous about what he is doing in Pakistan.....you all better pay attn to what is going on here.
Suspension of habeus corpus.
Fisa and wiretapping
Eminent domain abuse
Six of the presidental candidates could not be bothered to vote in the Attorney General's confirmation. NOT one of them will get my vote.
The AG can't decide if water boarding is torture.
The dollar is in the toilet. (It is worth .04 cents compared to the 1910 dollar)
Outsourcing and illegal immigration is ruining the USA. The candidates can't decide on amnesty.my bet is yes it will happen 21 years after the last one.
Ad nauseum

Well some say he has played both sides in the "War on Terror" all along. The Taliban (and therefore Al Queda's free ride to plot 9/11 in Afganistan) was basically created by Pakistan's intelligence service. Their base of support was and is Pakistan's Islamic madrassa school system. Instead of spending any of our $10 billion to build a secular school system to compete with the Islamic madrassas, basically all of the money has gone to things that could be construed as for the "War on Terror" but really are about the arms race with India.

Pakistan's A.Q. Khan, the father of the Pakistani bomb, sold nuclear technology to Iran and North Korea. He even met with Al Queda to discuss a nuclear technology sale to them.

True enough but she was deemed the secularist leader with popular support that he could "work with". The point is not that she is a saint but that like less than 3 weeks ago Musharraf specifically invited her back to the country from exile in England to as I said earlier act as the "loyal opposition" as they say and now in less than a month old Pervez (I like calling him Perv for short) has completely switched direction.

After the U.S. backed the Taliban in our fight against the USSR, and backed Saddam Hussein in our fight against Iran, why does this new development surprise you exactly? The U.S. has been supporting lunatic despots for decades.
