A number of years ago the PMA had a really amazing exhibit of Salgado's work, all of it documenting work and living conditions in a very diverse set of hardscrabble places around the world - burning wood to make charcoal in South America, dismantling mothballed ships on the coast of Indonesia, etc. The photos were really stunning.
