Now that national telephone monopoly CANTV has been taken over by the government, there are reports that "radical" internet radio stations run out of Miami are being IP banned and no longer directly accessible through CANTV's online service (which is used by the majority of Venezuelans with internet access).

I used to like HUgo Chavez because initially his programs benefitted Venezulans. But now he has shown himself to be power hungry and dictative. his program is over and the clock is ticking on him. nationalizing all of venezula's services will lead to gross inflation.

1.) Dictatorships aren't too concerned with inflation. Witness North Korea;
2.) Chavez has consolidated his position in the larger South American power structure with his vehement and creative anti-Americanism, cheap oil, and low- or no-interest loans to his neighbors. He's not going anywhere anytime soon and neither are his supporters; 3.) Most of Venezuela's media is still privately held. The problem with this particular grab is that this network was the only anti-Chavez network with national reach.
