While we talk about wha is on the small screen, why not look at what is on the big screen? What movies have you seen this summer and what are you looking forward to seeing?

I don't get to the movies that often these days. I think the last movie I saw in theaters was IDENTITY with Ray Liotta and John Cusack, a film that was almost good but went awry somewhere.

I think the only thing I'm interested in seeing now is Pirates of the Caribbean.

Same here Lee.

The last movie I saw was Seabiscuit, which was excellent, by the way. Long, but worth the wait. I wanted to see Pirates, but have not made it yet. Has anyone seen Pirates of the Carribean?

Just wondering what movies everyone wants to see or has seen during the holidays?

I watched Pirates last night. It really sucked. It was too violent for kids and too juvenile for adults. I really could not get into it. The special effects were very nice but the acting was poor or just wrong, in my opinion.

I saw the Quiet American as well this weekend. Now I actually enjoyed that film. The city of god was probably the film I enjoyed the most all year.

I saw gangs of NY last night. Despite being really long, it was a great topic done with mediocrity. The dirty secrets of America's past (the brutal suppression of the NYC draft riots which were more or less outright rebellion against the war itself and the exploitation of irish immigrants as bloodsponges...not to mention the utter crassness of excepting rich folks so blatantly) shoudl be addressed but there was mroe exaggeration and glorification than I could bear.
