Agreed.

I can't wait to see what happens when we eventually piss China off so bad that they stop buying our debt and switch to the Euro.

And this is why you should donate to PACCA, not PETA:

Ben & Jerry's ice cream to use human breast milk in their ice cream, instead of cow milk

how did I assume that?

Take some time and check out Local.live.com. It is a satellite image website. Do a flyover of Japan, say Hiroshima for example. Take a look along their waterfronts. Nothing but industry as far as you can see. And all active, with trucks and other vehicles filling the parking lots. Most of the buildings look newer too, which suggests a healthy business. They are producing all the things we sold out years ago. If we ever had to gear up for another world war, who we gonna' buy our stuff from? We sure don't have the facilities here anymore. Look along Philly's waterfront. All you see is the rusted out hulks of industry, or buildings that were converted to condos. But where is the interests of our locals? They are more concerned about the "greenway bicycle trail" for our waterfront. Probably can't even find an American made bike to ride on it anyway .
And now I wake up this morning to hear that the Asian stock market is dropping for the second week. Ahh, boo hoo . Gee, how will the U.S. help out those poor overseas countrys this time? Lets shut down ALL our remaining industry, and buy exclusively from overseas.... OR NOT!!!

Asian ports are also far more modernized and automated. I wonder how the ILA woudl feel about that. Nonetheless, the US has done everythign in its power to drive industrial activity out of its borders. you can see it even in canada. take a drive through usptate ny and watch the factories become active when you cross into canada.
