Default Plasma Centers

I lost my job this morning and have been looking for a few stop-gap measures toget cash while on the job-hunt.

A friend recommended selling Plasma. She said you can make between 20 and forty dollars for each donation. But I have been unable to find a Blood Plasma center in Philly. Does anybody know of one?

PS: Anybody looking to hire a good, hardworking student with a background in Photography, Image Manipulation, and Animation who can also Act, has considerable retail experience and a great manner with people?

If you had experience in insurance you could work here. One of the girls is leaving at month end.

Unfortunately, the only experience I have with insurance is watching it evaporate my checking account every 6 months. :cry_me_a:

Thanks though.

Default Check Free Weeklys

Check PW or City Paper, many times some of the numerous research universities or hospitals offer up a hundred or more bucks for participating in a research study. They all vary some take several weeks or months, some just a weekend stay in a hospital under observation.

I have never done any of these things ... but one of the guys who works for me did a taste test experiment where he had to go and taste stuff and say if it is bitter or sweet. He went 5 times over 3 months and got $100.

Thanks for the idea. But I've been pounding the phones all day, had one interview and got confirmation of a job starting at the end of the month. Things might not be as desperate as I thought.

There are all sorts of pharma studies that are going on that pay big bucks - course, who knows what they're putting in you . . . here's your pill, Mr. Hulk.

But, check out the Sunday Inky. It's usually at the end of all the classifieds. There's also a website listing projects -

They actually sometimes pay pretty good bucks.

Yeah I wasn't really looking for medical experiments, just selling plasma. I know it's done quite frequently in other areas, just wasn't sure about this one.

Only plasma center I've seen (at least I'm pretty sure it's a plasma center) is at the SW corner of Broad and Thompson. Block or so walk north of BSL Girard.
