Operation Santa
I'm not sure if this has been posted about already, but I just wanted to urge those that can to go by the Post Office at 30th Street and pick up a letter for Operation Santa. Children and parents write to Santa, asking him for toys, clothes, etc for themselves and others because they or their parents can't afford Christmas. The letters range from asking on behalf of 1 person to large families of 9 people and more. Some people buy gifts and send them anonomously in the mail, while others call and talk to the person who wrote the letter and arrange for a time to drop the gifts off. If you can't get to 30th street, you can call and they can fax a letter to you. I don't know the number, but can't imagine it would be hard to find. Just an idea to brighten up some kids' day.....
