Default WHERE TO DONATE STUFF???

We did Spring Cleaning and came up with several BAGS of clothes and shoes and jewelry that we don't/won't/can't wear anymore. Where do you donate stuff around here? We live in East Falls so someplace close to there would be nice. There used to be a donation drop in Springfield but its not there anymore. Maybe we should try Project Home.

There is a great website called Freecycle:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/phillyfreecycle/

Their primary goal is to keep usable stuff out of landfills. It is a great place to find good homes for just about anything you can imagine (I've seen everything from a bead necklace to washers and dryers find homes).

Take a look at the site and see if it will work for you. You can specify what area you are in and if you want someone to pick up or if you will drop the items off.

Just take it all to one of the Salvation Army dropoffs...

They will take it all, and it is always an interesting adventure to see who is hangin' near the drop box...

There's a Salvation Army drop off/store close to you in Roxborough, not far off of Leverington Ave. on Mitchell St. (I think) or one of those streets close to and parellel to Ridge.

There are also some drop boxes in the area for the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America. Here is the link:
