Peanut206: There are so many Pitbulls in all the shelters. It's insane.
Still, my neighbor approached me yesterday and asked if I want to breed my dog with his (probably pit mixes, both). Natch, I said "No. Plus, he's fixed." Neighbor said, "Well, he's young, they should be able to reverse that..." Seriously.

Default Bailey, a 6-month-old puppy, needs a home!

Look at this adorable guy. He's Bailey, a six-month-old male doggie who will melt your heart. Bailey has a really interesting look -- he might be part greyhound and part terrier. He was picked up as a stray and brought to PAWS almost two weeks ago. He might have been loved by someone at some point, though, because he knows "sit" and "shake."

He has been out to several adoption events and he attracts a lot of attention with his sweet face and long tail. But, even though he knows how to turn on the charm, he hasn't found the right person to give him the forever home he longs for.

Bailey is young, but he has a calm personality. He's an intelligent, highly trainable, healthy guy with beautiful white teeth. He is good as gold in the car and great with kids and other dogs. Bailey loves to give kisses and snuggles and enjoys being petted. It breaks my heart every time he has to go back into his metal cage.

Some dogs project a sense of despair after being in the shelter for a few weeks. Bailey still has that happy-go-lucky spirit about him. Won't you please adopt Bailey before he begins to lose hope?

PAWS, The Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society
111 West Hunting Park Avenue
Philadelphia, PA 19140. Phone: 267-385-3800

Shelter adoption hours are 11 am. - 6 p.m., seven days a week. Dog adoptions are $40, which includes spay/neuter surgery and microchipping, plus $8 for a dog license if you live in the City of Philadelphia.

PLEASE COME TO MEET BAILEY -- YOU ARE SAVING A LIFE! He will reward you with years of loyal companionship and love.

Bailey's Pet ID: A05656656
