Philadelphia Cares Day!
Philadelphia Cares Day, which benefits local public schools, is Saturday, October 21. It starts at 8:30 a.m. with breakfast and registration at the Mann. The "real work" begins at 10:00 a.m. at your site.
Examples of work to be done include painting and cleaning. This is one way we can definitely make a difference in our local public schools! You can www.gpcares.com for more information. And if you're in the Roxborough/Manayunk area and you want to be on my team (we're going to Shawmont), send me a PM!

(Update!)
Due to a scheduling conflict, Shawmont will not be participating.
My site will be the Samuel Daroff School, located at 5630 Vine Street. We need @ 30 volunteers to help clean up the playground and park. Please PM or email me if you'd like to help (we could sure use it!). Many thanks!!!!
