The Career Wardrobe Summer Volunteer Opportunities!

Does your company offer flextime over the summer?

Are your children at summer camp and do you have time volunteer?

Are you looking for an opportunity to help another woman succeed and realize her dreams?

If so, The Career Wardrobe needs you!

Whether you have an hour a month or 5+ hours a week… we need volunteers this summer to assist in our Center City office to sort clothes and provide individual consultation for clients as they “shop” for that perfect interview outfit!

Current volunteer needs include:

“Personal Shoppers”: assist clients in our dressing suite Monday-Friday 10am-4pm

Clothing Sorters: assist with collecting and sorting donations Monday-Friday 10am-4pm
Tuesday, 7/15 5:30-7:30pm
Tuesday, 8/19 5:30-7:30pm

(The Career Wardrobe is located at 1211 Chestnut Street, Suite 205, Philadelphia)

Where can I drop off donations? I have suits that are sitting in my closet.

Clothing Drive Locations:

At this time, the Wardrobe does not have a pick-up service, but encourage you to drop off your donations at one of our regularly scheduled monthly clothing drives.

If you are interested in organizing a clothing or accessory drive with your community group or corporation, please contact us at 215-568-6693 (Philadelphia) or 610-429-5373 (West Chester) or email SCole@careerwardrobe.org.

2nd Wednesday of the month from 6-8pm at Falls Presbyterian Church in East Falls Philadelphia
Kelly Drive westbound to Midvale Ave. Right on Midvale Ave. to Vaux St. The church is on the corner of Midvale and Vaux (3800 Vaux St.)

2nd Thursday of the month from 6-8pm at The Career Wardrobe in West Chester, PA
Enter West Chester on Business Rt. 322 from West Chester or Paoli Pike. Turn right on Church St. The Wardrobe is in the third building on the left - 222 N. Church St. Use the side entrance.

3rd Tuesday of the month from 5:30-7:30pm at The Career Wardrobe in Center City Philadelphia
Volunteers will be available at the ground floor of our building - 1211 Chestnut Street - to collect donations and hand out tax receipts.

Please note: The last Northeast Philadelphia Clothing Drive was held in June 2002 and The Black Cat in West Philadelphia no longer accepts clothing on our behalf. All sizes and styles are available. suits are only $10 and
dresses/separates $6 and less!


Due to limited space, there will be NO dressing rooms available.
Children are not permitted into the office during sale hours. All sales
final. Cash and check only!
