I don't have any connection to Abbraccio, and don't actually even eat there all that often, but their monthly email includes some community events that might be of interest:



“Monday Friends and Neighbors Social Hour” starts Monday, August 1 7-9pm
FREE Hors d’Oeuvres, $2 Lager Drafts, $3 House Wine, plus more! Every Monday in August. Here is a chance informally to meet some of our neighbors. This area is full of wild, wacky, sometimes cranky, and, yes, sometimes even interesting (!) people who will not pass up an opportunity for free food. This is a Great Opportunity for Singles (straight, gay, metrosexual, whatever) to meet someone new! We’ll have Board Games and other activities to help break the ice. And each week we’ll pick one name at random to win an Abbraccio $20 gift certificate.


“Tuesday Poker Nights” starts Tuesday, August 2 8-11 pm
NO ENTRANCE FEE ! ! PRIZES !

Every Tuesday in August from 8-11 pm. From 7-8 pm, arrive, get acquainted, tables are formed. Play starts at 8 pm sharp!

Each week a volunteer will explain the rules and form the tables. Game ends at 11 pm.

Drink Specials: $3 Stella, Half Price Sicilian Cosmo. These prices in effect Poker Night from 7-11…plus we’ll give PRIZES each week. FIRST PLACE: $40 Abbraccio Gift Certificate. RUNNER-UP: $20 Abbraccio Gift Certificate. This is meant to be a friendly Poker game, appropriate for anyone who has ever played any type of poker. The idea is to have fun (and hopefully, a few drinks and food!). Don’t like poker? We’ll have other board games available.
