Now that they are looking more finished and I can even see the ivy starting to grow up the bell shapes, I will say I like the look of the "giant shuttlecocks" also. In full greenary they will be quite interesting.

I too wonder aobut the "stores".

the ivy is growing up the bells rather quickly. anyway, the sidewalks are 50% open and we (i) have found out that a take out/sitdown restaurant with outdoor seeting is going in. i'm confident its not a mcdonalds or wendy's. it could be a panera bread or an independent owner (that would be nice). the building adds so much to the street. its amazing the impact.

i hate the 34th and Market St. intersection near there if you go south on 34th St. A request to put signs for people to stay in their lanes was made. I don't know if it'll actually go through- probably not, but it's better than nothing.

The restaurant space is going to be a Fatburger. Also, the minimum leasing age is 22, which rules out nearly all undergrads.

Awesome! After In-N-Out, this is probably the best fast-food burger chain I've had. (Just narrowly beating out Five Guys.)

Chipotle is currently hiring managers for as-yet-unspecified Philadelphia locations. I figure they'll have to do one near UPenn, so maybe it'll be here.

ah yes... the place that sells a double (or is it triple?) burger with cheese and fried eggs on it. good thing it is mere blocks from the emergency department!

so much for something mildly healthy.

How can you set a minimum age for an adult renting an apartment? That's legal?!
