American Apparel is more than a retail "chain". First and foremost they are company producing tees and garments in sweat-shop free factories here in the US in LA. The direct retail thing is actually a new thing for them. they are a great company. All the tees and silkscreen garments we sell in MiaLou are American apparell

Intersting. AA on an Ivy League campus. Whats next, Value City? Just kidding

I think the AA stores are neat. and Philly needs one. Plus, they use awesome models.

BTW, although they're leaving UC, Philly isn't losing a Smith Bros either. They're set to open this Friday in the former Kenneth & Cooper store on Chestnut near 18th (next door to the new DiBruno's, which will be opening in a few weeks). The CC store Smith Brothers is occupying had been vacant for at least a couple decades.

Another store moving in below 42nd Street. Whoop-de-do. Don't the UPenn and Drexel students have enough places to spend their parents' money already in the area? *wink*
