Default CANDLELIGHT VIGIL 52ND. PINE ST. MALCOLM X PARK

THERE WILL BE AN IMPORTANT CANDLELIGHT VIGIL ON SATURDAY APRIL 2, 2005 AT 6:00 P.M. TO STOP THE VIOLENCE IN PHILADELPHIA AND REMEMBERING THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN VICTIMS OF VIOLENT CRIMES.

Apparently, both names are still used, though the signs near and at the park say Malcolm X.

Interestingly the real estate map on realtor started switching back to only using black Oak Park as the designation a couple of years ago. People tend to use the two names interchangably.

That's not funny, that's rude!

That is one of the reasons why the city is in the state that it is in now.
from rude ass folks.
a candlelight vigil sounds good and i will be there.

yeah, what the cluck? someone posts about a candlelight vigil and it takes seven posts before someone says something about the actual vigil instead of something about neighborhood designations, real estate markets, and racial stratification.

oh well, I guess I'm the problem with Philly. good luck with the vigil at blac oak park. I guess using racist names is okay so long as they ain't white racists.
