Default Missing Cat

Is there a missing cat thread that I am just not finding? If one exists, I am happy to continue. My cat has been missing for some time in West Philly, but sighting continue.

There is no official lost pet section. Do you have a picture of the cat you can post? Also, near what streets was the cat lost? moideb's a sucker for cats, and will look out for you.

Default missing cat

Hi,

I do have a photo. I can email it to you. My 14 year old brown/grey tabby cat went missing from 49th and Kingsessing on the rr tracks behind my house months ago, three days before my husband and I got married, but I have not given up because every time I do, I get another call that he is further down the tracks. I know he is old, but I think he is still alive and just confused. We think he is now as far as Bartram's Garden. I have talked to the folks there and at Bartram Village next door. I know this is considered Southwest Philly, but I did not see an area devoted to Southwest Philadelphia, but rather only University City/West Philadelphia. I have posted flyers in the neighborhood, at vets, and on-line. I keep looking. Any other advice is welcome.

Lynn

I'm posting this picture for vanth. Don't give up hope, cats are pretty good at taking care of themselves outdoors. Though its little consolation, it's also possible that some well intentioned cat lady (like my mom) decided to add him to her collection.

Default Sightings continue

Hi,

Just wanted to send a shout out for Hitchcock again. Most recently, I have received calls about a cat that looks like my missing cat, Hitchcock. Most recently, folks have said that they have seen a cat that looks like him in and around Clark Park. If anyone has seen cats in Clark Park or know folks in this area that feed strays, I would be most grateful for any information!

Thanks!

i was staying in the area of 47th and kingsessing last month and i saw a very similar cat between the 47-48th blocks quite a bit. looked a lot thinner, but pretty active. seems to have gone by that church on the corner a lot (perhaps they leave out food?) and also across the street near that old age home (or whatever it is) and the house to the left of it. you might want to post new flyers in the area or just walk around at dusk...i have a little dude of my own so i hope you find him! best of luck!!!

Does Hitchcock have any distinctive markings? It's hard to tell those tabby cats apart from a distance....

if you have a picture of the cat, you can post it here using a URL generated at http://www.tinypic.com/

Default Markings and photo

Hitch has yellow eyes, a white chin (but no other white), neutered male, and black stripes, is probably thinner than he used to be (13 pounds) and lots of missing teeth (not that I expect anyone to look inside his mouth). Thank you for asking!
