Default West philly needs to support Vanessa Brown!

On Election day tomorrow support a philadelphian, support Vanessa brown, let's show the status quo and the "BlackWell" machine that community is more powerful than $$$

She's shown up at several of the West Powelton Neighbors' meetings, even though she doesn't live in the neighborhood (vs. Blackwell's zero visits -- as far as I know). If she gets elected and doesn't do good things in the district, I doubt that it would be for lack of hard work and good intentions.

I agree with all....she is a good choice and should be given a chance. i have witnessed her community advocacy for years. she has shown strength and courage.

So Vanessa Brown prevailed against an unsuccessful write-in campaign and will likely be the next State Rep for a good chunk of West Philly North of Market and south of Market west of 52nd. I've got high hopes.

Meanwhile, Kenyatta Johnson accomplished the same feat in the 186th District, which covers parts of West, SW and Point Breeze/Grays Ferry.

It's good to see some youth injected into local politics.
I have a good feeling they won't carry on business as usual.
