Default St Ignatius Nursing Home

What can anyone in W Philly tell me about this home, good or bad?

I need to find a non-profit home for my mother, she doesn't have enough $$ to go into a for-profit one.

Any info, good or bad, much appreciated!

Default Noooooo!

I have heard from several reliable (workers) sources that St. Ignatius is a DUMP! One of my relatives has worked there for about two years and is currently interviewing and applying for jobs elsewhere due to the less than supportive staff, ill treatment of patients & overall rundown appearance of the facility. Hope this info helps!

Don't know anything about any area nursing homes, but maybe someone from the Philadelphia Corporation on Aging could give you some guidance.

This website allows you to purchase a report that includes "recent deficiencies and complaints." Might be a good place to start.

Look at the Masonic Village in Lafayette Hills. Pine Run, Holy Redeemer. Edge Hill. Nice facilities. Most facilities in Philly are iffy. Sorry but that is a fact. Start looking in the burbs.

Default St. Ignatius Nursing Home

The best way to evaluate a Nursing Home is to visit. Should you visit St. Ignatius you will find a clean and friendly enviroment. The residents are happy and well kept.

The Felician Sisters are maintaining quality Nursing Home Care for the indigent that rivels some suburban Nursing Homes that cater to private pay families.

I delivered food in the area for a time while in school and delivered there a few times. The place seems a little run-down, IMO. Can't speak for the quality of care, but the building itself seemed like it was in need of some repairs.
