can anyone recommend a mechanic in the university city / west philly area?
i'm having problems getting my car started in the morning and i need to have it checked out. i thought it was the battery, but it happened again this morning and it wasn't even cold out. also, wouldn't the car not start at all if it was the battery?? so yeah....any recommendations for non-shady garages in the neighborhood? |

if you can go a bit west, I have had good results with:
Wayne's Garage at 4521 Springfield Ave. (215) 222-5703. For someone who doesn't know much about cars, Wayne is great - he answers my questions and explains things to me clearly. |

here are some recommendations from older threads, in case you find them useful.

If you insist on going to Wayne's, contact me and I will: a. take your money b. wreck your car. I've lived in the neighborhood for fourteen years; nearly all of my friends and neighbors have at least one horror story about Wayne. Good luck. |

Wayne's does good work from the few times I've been there, but they are certainly not concerned about overcharging.
