Default my faves

I love Dahlak for Ethiopian- get a combination platter so you can try a bunch of stuff - they often end up throwing some extras in there for you to try. they also have a good chill bar at the back (really great on warm nights when youo can hang out outside)

Zocalo - is a great upscale mexican place at 36th & Lancaster - a little pricey, but I think it's worth it

Abraccio is good - we go there a lot. They have good quizzo on sundays with some good drink specials. The guys who run the place are awesome people.

RX is great for brunch.
Marigold is superb but pricey - remember to make a reservation and bring your own wine.

I hate to say it, but I also love getting a beer and a snack at Marathon Grill before catching a movie at the bridge.

Also right around there (40th and walnut) are too decent indian places New Delhi (40th and chesnut) and Tandoor India (on 40th).
And for Thai: Pattaya Grill (40th and chesnut) AND Lemongrass (36th and Lancaster)

Chinese.....hmm...I still don't know......that is the missing link

Sushi - we usually travel into center city to Genji or Shiroi Hana, but for take out sushi you can order some good stuff from Mizu ( 40th between Walnut and Chesnut)

Oh, and have you checked out Strikes bowling alley? - it is fun place, bowling is expensive (worth it, but expensive) but you can play pool and ping pong for free - and get $5 pitchers every day of the week. Sure, it's Bud Select, but hey, its $5!

and Sitar on 38th between Chestnut and Walnut completes the "triangle of Indian" (New Delhi's probably my fav).

I just tried Evergreen and it's good but not great. I need to try more stuff, but I think I still like Won better (except for all the darn wooder chestnuts they put on all the food).

Yah, New Delhi's probably my fave too, because they have beer. Yum, beer. But all three are good. We are so lucky to have them nearby.

Oh, and cheesesteaks at Abners...soooooo goood.
And the burrito truck at Penn, what is that 37th and Spruce? The one with the long line. And great price too.

I get my hoagies at Gus's at 49th and Chester, decently delicious and very very affordable - I think a big Italian is still under $3.
