Are you kidding? Check Hallwatch. Neighborhood Restorations is not so good about paying real estate taxes. Anyone know how to move this stuff to a new thread. Of course be careful, you know who their friend is.

rough weekend in West Philly. Someone shot at 39th and Market at 1am late Saturday night, while 3 more were shot near 52nd and Baltimore.

That really sucks.

Yeah, the one at 52nd and Baltimore is about the third within a two block radius of my house in the last two weeks.

The shooting the other night was at 52 and Warrington. A little further down. Started as a fist fight in the afternoon then the losing party returned around 1am with guns. One dead, one critically wounded and an innocent hit in the knee. Senseless.

im sorry i thought crimes against anyone bearing ignorance," such as the people we have placed our trust" L&I commisioners, F.B.I. officials, federal d.a.'s like nifong or mr. pat meehan and what is happening thruout our world. Who are aware of these thefts and, who are not informing the citizens so that they may allow them to continue. And yes i know that permits have been on the city of phila's computers since before 1994.Or even telling employees of the city of phila. to be on the lookout and the banks attitude of "NO PERMIT, NO PAYMENT"or perhaps even the u.s. gov't
I GUESS THESE PEOPLE ARE THE UNTOUCHABLE ELITE OF OUR SOCIETY. they already know all about it. BUT DO YOU?
go ask and you should be able to get a copy of all permits that have been done on any properties lets see how much can be overlooked.
yes i know it's hard to follow the ball but think of it as a "MONEY TRAIL" and who it leads back to

Default Shooting at Kingsessing Rec?

Does anyone have any details on the shooting at the Kingsessing Rec center on Thursday June 26 at about 9:00 and then later at about 1:00am on June 27 (not sure still at KRC or nearby)? There was nothing in the paper, and nothing in the PPD online map.

Default Shots fired Walnut & Farragut

On Saturday Night (7/5) there were seven shots fired over about twenty minutes around Farragut and Walnut around one in the morning.

It was so lound it woke me up, when I looked out my window I saw a guy driving by yell out his window to some kids having a party on their porch to call the cops. They seemed to ignore him, so I called. The cops showed up, but it was hard to tell if they found anyone.

Did anybody else hear or see anything?

I was one of the kids at that "party" (we were just hanging out on the porch smoking a hookah), and they were fireworks. Really crappy illegal fireworks that sound like gunshots, but no gun produces clouds of smoke like what I saw accompanying those noises... unless someone stole and fired a musket from a colonial militia exhibit. That's why we didn't call. That's why you haven't heard anything.

Default Fireworks .... just fireworks man

I was going to say that all these shootings i hear about around the 4th of july wknd are most likely fireworks .... or gunshots - just aimed straight up in the air...

You can tell gunshots by the frequency of the sound ... they are usually off beat and have an escalating pop

I heard so many people complaining of gunshots and when i said "it was July 4th" they replied "ooohhh, yea they coulda been fireworks"

don't be so quick to label our neighborhood a warzone
