Yep -- This incident is almost surely the same one that I saw this afternoon.

Details in my previous post above....

Robbery Pattern

Around the 48th and Warrington area. A B/M, 35-45 years old, med dark complexion, light beard, 5'8, 180lbs, wearing a black or dark blue 3/4 length coat and dark pants is robbing people while acting as if he has a handgun in his right pocket.

The male may first act as if he is begging for money, or offering a cigarette, etc. After being rejected the male will then demand the money or as in the case of a complainant tonight, run up behind you a block later.

I have received messages that he is still in the area. I agree and ask if anyone comes in contact with this male to call 911.

Gunpoint robbery tonight at 200 N 33rd St. 2 B/M's with hooded sweatshirts. Occurred around 10pm.

Gunpoint robbery at 45th and Market Sts. Occurred around 8:30pm. 1 B/M, teenager, nothing taken.

Use caution at night around the 46th St stop. I actually recommend jumping off a stop earlier if you can deal with the walk.

Default Gunshots heard at 49th and Spruce and Trash

Hello all, just FYI I heard 6 loud gunshots around 10:32pm on Wed, Dec 20th. Should be somewhere around 49th and Spruce Streets. About five minutes later, I heard a police car stop around that area. I could tell that the car stopped b/c of the abrupt halt of the siren sound.

Oh, and I had my two trashcans stolen earlier in the week (one even had trash in it). They were 2 years old, kind of beat up. My neighbors' trashcans were left untouched. Is this common?

Nothing taken? Was the kid scared off by something?

It's probably common. My friends at 45th and Sampson had their brand new trash cans taken the first night they put them out. It's pretty amazing what people will steal!

I have friends who live in Trenton. Their neighborhood experienced a "rash" of trashcan thefts. They were told by the police that dealers and runners use them to move drugs through backyards.

Seems really strange to me...

Where the drugs may have been stored prior to ingestion would be enough to deter me from using. A trash can seems like one of the more sanitary places ...

For instance, the idea of snorting or smoking anything that may have been secreted in a person's ass at some point doesn't sit well with me ...

we had brand-new trash cans stolen, too, last year... from 48th and cedar. my brother bought more and spraypainted our address on them... haven't been taken again (yet). not sure if that matters or not, but it's just a thought.

No. The complainants did not have anything to give.
