Agreed, any time you want to delete mr. marvelous, be my guest. His stunning contribution to the thread, along side is astonishing insight into "the street" I will have to live without.
p.s. 50 cent lives in a cushy fancy pants country club mansion in Connecticut, while all you slugs give him your money so you can walk the dirty ghetto streets and pretend to be "hard" like him. Now THATS superior. |

Good. Quite the responses I expected. Now let's take an overview of my original post and the tone of the reponses to it.
The point I made was that violence and vice does in fact happen in the city. However, there are people that fight through it and in spite of inner city crime, become sucessful. The cliched and "popular" repsonse to it somehow was that I (or people like me) are wasting money on 50 Cent. You guys are obviously all geniuses and should really be in MENSA. But yeah, if you want to hand me over an advantage, I'll take it. 50 Cent, aka Mr. Curtis Jackson. Orphaned. No mom no dad. NewYork State Prison, check. Stabbed and knifed up, check. Shot what? 17 times? check. Grew up s**t poor with out a pot to piss in on the streets. But wait, what record labe does he now own? What apparel compant does he own? What movie did he just release? The man even has his own sports drink. But the REAL kicker is that he can go 10,000 miles away to a place like freakin Sri Lanka and can fill an entire stadium of screaming people. Just fathom it for a second... people half way in the most remotest corner of the planet know him. So yeah, I'll pay to listen to what he has to say. Cause the man now lives in a mansion in Hartford right? So he's obviously doing something right. Last edited by IAmSuperior : 11-26-2005 at 08:56 PM. |

Yea, and all the rich and powerful rappers idolize Antonio Montana. Go figure. I guess they forget how the movie ended...
