Haddad's movie trucks have beenn parked on Penn Campus near Franklin field for over a week now, and this morning, in front of the field house, lay 4 or 5 piles of clothed mannequins (presumably a fake audience).

Anybody know what they are filming?

This is "Invincible," the film about the walk-on player for the Eagles back in the 70s. They had the mannequins in the stands at Franklin Field for quite a while, filling in for a real live audience.

Supposedly yesterday they were actually filming some game footage and put out a call for a large number of real human extras to come & act like Eagles fans. Uh oh...I hope they didn't get more than they bargained for.

Fortunately, the extras are told to pantomime.

OK. So, there is a movie entitled "Invincible" being filmed at Franklin Field. Five years ago there was a film entitled "Unbreakable" filmed at the very same place.

I am waiting for "Inconceivable", starring Wallace Shawn, to get the green light any day now.

I like it. He plays a fiery chess team coach hired to turn a down-on-its-luck football team around. But here's the kicker - he never played football in his life.

Either that or he's a super hero who's allergic to water. Oh wait that's been done.

That doesn't stop Illinois from fielding a team every year.
