I visited Devil's Pool for the first time yesterday and it seemed really clear and clean to me. I was surprised when I read this thread...

I'm sure as soon as it gets warm again there will be people back out doing drugs and throwing their trash everywhere. It is good to know that it is nice now, I definately want to check it out how it was meant to be seen.

Well, someone asked me for "weed" near Climber's Rock. I presume they were using slang for some illicit substance, since invasive weeds are everywhere. I played dumb and they requested a hiking companions "scarf" instead. They were denied said "scarf", but I suspect that may be slang for something I know not what. But no drug use to be observed near DP. Unless you consider love a drug. But that's hard to see anyway. And it's legal.

i saw someone jump off the bridge above the pond, if anyone has been tehre and knows what im talking about theyd never believe me. i swear i saw it though

are there any other spots like this in the city that aren't as dangerous?

do you mean dangerous as in getting jumped by some puerto ricans or dangerous as in the jump is too high?

if youre into jumping, i suggest the bridge leading from ocean city nj to stathmere. its about a 25 ft drop into deep water with a nice dock to climb up on. i think if youre looking for more of a forest setting, you would have to head out of the city.

They aren't the only ones that do work in the wiss. Last year my company took a day off and cleaned devils hole. We pulled 18 full large garbage bags of trash out of there. I think it was the only time it had been cleaned up till then that year.

i have heard of people jumping from that bridge. bananas! even when jumping in from the sides of DP one hits bottom.

I never tried it myself but I've heard that it goes down 8 feet in one spot.
