Has anyone used one?? Are they just computers set up for access, or can you bring your laptop and get access? I'm debating if I should bring my laptop on the cruise. I'm sure the rates will be expensive.

All large ships have computer rooms and/or stations for passenger use. In addition, most ships have wi-fi locations in certain areas. In both cases, you have to buy access, usually in 1/2 blocks, and it isn't cheap (but also not too outrageous).
Whether you need your laptop depends on what you plan on doing and how important it is to have what's on your computer. Obviously, with your own laptop, you'll have all your bookmarks and log in information for websites, your company's mail server, etc., which will make access quicker, thus saving you some pennies.
