Yeah, I grew up not too far from there.
I now live much closer- within a few miles, and never even heard of the place before stumbling across this site by accident. Most people have no idea apparently.
It's a little scary to see what people have done to it. I didn't see anyone when we went, aside from some men riding dirt bikes near the entrance as we were headed out.
How many houses did you go through? We did 2. One extensively (the huge one on the hill. I believe it was the last house on the road) Most we just stood in the doorways of. Too dangerous for the most part. I was a little worried about coming across squatters in addition to the hazards LOL

I went into a few the one on the hill was the best and the little house next to it looked like a cook's quarters, the barn is neat too. But yes most of them I'm scared to walk too far into as the floor/ceiling is rotted so bad. I don't think theres any squatters back there ya never know though

You never know, but I wouldn't doubt it. One of the reasons we aren't going back at night without the men.
The one on the hill was really cool. We got to the second floor, and that was it. I had a really bizarre feeling that was taking over. It wasn't pleasant.
Quite a thrill though!
