When the Phillies suck, they suck, but I'll still watch them! LOL

It's like your family. You can talk sh!t about them, but as soon as someone else does, you'll beat the crap out of them.

For Years I thought that Santa Clause incident was in the 80's, had no idea until a year ago it was in 1968-lol

WOW! I also thought that, too... I thought it was around 78-80...

When did the battery throwing incident happen?

Jimmy Rollins described Philly Fans perfectly!!!
That may be your ignorant defintion of a front runner.
To me a front runner is someone that supports their team only when they are winning.
Philadelphia hasn't won a championship in 25 years yet they continue to support their teams by attending games, purchasing team products, and constantly rooting for their teams to win despite their lack of success.
The Phillies are constantly selling our their games despite not winning a championship in some 28 years.
Does this mean we are going to simply sit by and cheer when you don't run out a fly ball, or when you continue to strike out when all we need is a fly ball to score a run...HELL NO!
If we did we would all be just another ignorant sports fan like yourself...but we're not.

BTW, they threw snow balls at Jimmy Johnson in the 90's during the buddy ball era.

Yeah Ed Rendell played a part in throwing snowballs at Jimmy Johnson too.

the strange thing about that snowball incident was dallas was a losing team at the time, like 1-13 and the eagles were the dominant team in the division and their fans were throwing snowballs at a coach of a 1-15 team???? You only throw snowballs at a team you is better than you

For much of those 28 years the Phillies were not selling out games. Many years at the vet you could walk up on the day of the game and get a seat in the 200 and 300 levels.

Philadelphia fans are front runners. How many Sixers flags do you see on cars these days ? They were every where a few years ago, but at this moment the Phillies are the hotness and they are the team everyone is pretending to be die hard fans of. Once they lose Howard and Hamels and the park stops being so new and the owners continue their cheap ways, the phillies fans will disappear, the same way they did in the late 90s.

Flyers fans weren't going to the games 2 years ago and you didn't see the colors any where, but when they made a small run last year, the orange shirts came back out of the closet. Let the Eagles go 8-8 again this year and you will see them drop off again too.

My guess is we will be seeing a whole bunch of Philly Soul shirts now.

It's pretty much the same everywhere. Just because we aren't going and paying when our teams are losing doesn't mean we aren't watching or that we don't care.

Actually that's exactly what it means. If you cared you would be in the stadium showing support for the team. Showing up at the games and wearing the colors only when they are good is front running.

In 2002 the Sixers set a franchise record for attendance, avg 20k+ per game, last year you were lucky if you had 10k-11k. that is the definition of front running.
