Cataldi is a first class Butt Munch. Anyone famous who gives that loud mouth the time of day gets "legendary"status from him. Never mind that the fact that good old Angelo hasn't stepped into a locker room in over 10 years to talk to any player in this city. He just sits on his ass running his moronic mouth every morning. I like Jaws and respect him as an analyst but he is FAR from a legend in this town. They do the same thing with Dick Vermeil. I respect the man and what he accomplished but the last time i checked,LOSING a Super Bowl doesn't make you a legend in this or any other town.

Great Post. He would say that all the time and I was like-" a QB who was the starter of a team who missed the playoffs from 1982-1986 is a legend? |

Jaworski isn't the only athlete in Philly to have been defeated in a big game. |

You're crazy. Jaworski was a pretty good QB in this town, has become one of the best analysts in the business and also ownes the Soul. He IS a legend in this town, and it really has less to do with his play at the QB than it does with everything else he's done.
Cataldi is a GENIUS. He's paid a king's ransom to do a radio show where he ACTS like a typical Philly fan. Prior to his acting career he was one of the best writers in this town. Get a clue. If you don't like the show, don't listen. It's not meant to be Mike and The Mad Dog. It's meant to be Frank from the neighborhood talking Philly sports. I'm not a huge fan of the show, but apparently his acting is good enough to fool you. |

Because most fans, reporters, owners, and managers in Phila are clueless. This is the same town that thought Darren Daulton was a superstar even though he was only a .240 hitter who averaged 10 HRs and about 40 RBIs a season.

Just looking at Jaworski's football career and calling him a legend may be a stretch. It is not like the Eagles have won a bunch of Superbowls either. The bar hasn’t been set that high for QBs in this town over the last 30 years. If you take into account him owning the Soul, his TV analyst jobs and general community involvement he may be a legend.

Jaworski, despite scathing ciritcism from fans when he played here, stayed in town. He invested money into businesses. He promoted the city. He defended the same fans that butchered him.
I remember being in the Vet for an Eagles game late in 1986. Jaws was hurt and out for the season. Jaws was put up on the screen sitting watching the game and the whole stadium cheered him. Jaworski was a good quarterback on a beloved team who stayed here. He is a legend.
