I loved the Colorado Rockies uniforms back in the 70's

I liked the Nordiques..and what a shame for Minnesota that the North Stars left for Dallas. Look at Dallas now..even though the Wild have become a strong team! The Hartford Whalers probably needed to move..playing in a mall wasn't exactly a great marketing arrangement!
Hartford was actually a solid market with a strong fanbase. There were negotiations to build a new arena but ultimately no agreement could be reached between the state and the Whalers(freaking karmanos...). It kills me that places like Florida and Nashville maintain teams while Hartford got screwed out of their only professional franchise. Besides, Brass Bonanza was clearly the best song associated with any professional sports team.

HAHHA

Brass Bonanza reminded me of a corny 70's/80's cartoon theme song.

Oh, it was also by far the campiest song associated with any professional sports team...I'll tell you though, there was nothing more electrifying than hearing those blasting trumpets after a Verbeek goal.
On a semi-related note, my life would be complete if I could find a Peter Sidorkiewicz Whalers jersey somewhere...

And the short lived fad of those long hockey pants both the Whalers and the Flyers wore in the early 80's.

Speaking of Flyers, John Stevens played for the Whalers.

And Holmgren coached them for a few years, and don't forget Freddy Flyer and Slapshot. BTW, great site for looking up player stats(all leagues), team stats etc. if it hasn't been posted before.
