That being said, the Flyers are actually playing a skillful playoff team who can also lay out the hits (ask Avery). Pens can play any game you want them to play. Want to take shots at Crosby? Ruutu, Gill, Laroque, and Malone will gladly go Hanson brothers on your ass, and Crosby isn't one to back down from confrontations despite his rep (although thankfully he's learned to control his emotions and not go after every player who makes contact w/ him).

The Flyers won't be able to control their hate. Look for Hartnell to spend half the series in the box b/c he's an undisciplined hack. Bad thing to do when the Pens have a power play like they do.

Pens in 6.

And it should come as no surprise I've already received messages from one friend telling me it's best that we don't talk to eachother until after the series is over, and another from a coworker telling me to eat **** and die.

God I love the playoffs. This is going to be a fun 2 weeks.

Lets Go Pens

I'd wet myself it was in 4... that would be a sure sign that Billy Penn's curse could be coming to an end.

It's been a good few months... Phillies and the NL East, Sixers did pretty good in the playoffs; better than they normally do [they would do so much better with a different head coach... when is Pop going to retire!?], and we socked two very good hockey franchises and now get to play one that's had a long history of being ferocious and this season is no exception (although I watched most of their games back in December and was astonished at how bad they were early on).

Thank goodness the Islanders aren't even a factor anymore now with their crappy season.

My dream matchup is Flyers vs. Dallas.

I'd pay good money to get into any possible seat in the house to watch that.

East was weak that year, but Ill take a cup loss every other year. Cup wins in the off years!

Pens series is gonna be tough. I thought the Habs were to fast for us but the Flyers disproved that theory. Snyder should get owner of the year for forcing Clarke out, if that is what happened. He resigned but who really knows what happened. Holmgren has done a nice job rebuilding.

Hopefully the Flyers can make another young goalie look foolish and lose his confidence. Biron hopefully get a bit lucky again and stand on his head some more.

The Flyers don't look as slow as they have in past years but clearly they struggled at times with both the caps and canadiens in terms of speed. Excellent goaltending, capitalizing on opportunities, and solid enough D playkept put them on top. I saw very few mistakes as compared with early on in the caps series....as you know, clutch mistakes cost you the game. I can't hate Detroit, that city needs all the help it can get.

Angry Penguins Suck

The Sh!tsburgH Penguins are in for a long series come Friday night. Flyboyz are looking for blood, and they're gonna find it against those stinkin Penglosses. Sidney crosby and his crybaby diving team are gonna get crushed in the Conference finals. Those losers taked the last game of the season so they wouldn't have to play us. But guess what, there's no ducking us now. Everyone know the road to the Cup comes through Philadelphia. We're gonna embass these losers, Sid the kid better be wearing his diapers cause we gonna beat the Sh!t out of him! Literally and figuratively.

I've been watching the Flyers for 21 years and I've never seen a team with a good blend of veterans and young players like this one. They are 4 lines deep and when Biron is on his game and controlling rebounds and the team plays a full 60 mins of hockey..they can beat anybody. Pittsburgh hasn't faced much adversity this playoff series. Ottawa was a horrible team going into the playoffs and the Rangers are not as physical as the Flyers. Pitt will have to work much harder than they have and they won't be able necessarily to get by on pure talent alone. Malkin will be key along with Fleury. Crosby can be contained by Richards who gets under his skin but Malkin is a bull. The Flyers overall have good team speed but are somewhat slow on D with Hatcher, Kukonen, and Smith. The latter two seem to be the biggest liabilities but Stevens in this series managed them better cutting down their minutes and limiting their exposure. The Flyers however backchecked well and played good D overall and attacked (kept the offensive pressure) particularly against montreal. They were able to not be conservative because they had Biron as the last line of defense. He's going to have to match his performance against Pitt and probably move it up a notch. It's going to be a fun physical series...but also more stressful for fans! Only 8 wins to Lord Stanley's Cup!

Default pittsburgH is a JOKE

A quote from Eddie who is from pittsburgH:
Pittsburgh is a dump, living in the past. I work in the Strip District, and walk daily during my lunch hour.I see the same garbage sitting in the same place every day of the week. I see city owned garbage cans, overflowing. The city of Pittsburgh has several garages & buildings in the Strip. They are dirty on the outside, it looks like the sidewalks haven't been swept in years. Soon, weeds will pop up in front of them. These weeds will last into the fall just like every other year. Pittsburgh needs to get out of the past.. How long can the media and city leaders refer to Pittsburgh as " The City Of Champions"? In the late seventies after the Steelers dominated with the 4 Super Bowls and the Pirates winning the World Series, the city started using this slogan. Newsflash, that was yesterday. I have lived in the area my entire life, and I am only here for the short haul. I intend to do something about it, and will migrate South. Pittsburgh needs someone with ambition and a drive. You can spray a big cloud of cologne on the city, but, no matter what, it still is nothing but crap and will never change.

And this is from someone who lives in this loser town. The pengins are gonna get SMACKED around by the Flyers, it's a fact, to the pathetic sh!tsburgH fan that thinks his team is going to go hansen brothers on us, remeber who that movie was inspired by, none other than the toughest team any professional sports leauge has ever seen the BROAD STREET BULLIES! Piss on the faguins FLYERS in 6.

I love both cities. Philly has a lot on Pittsburgh, but cleanliness certainly isn't one of them LOL. Pittsburgh is one of the cleanest cities this side of the Mississippi.

If you think your boys are going to show up and smack around a team of Malone, Ruutu, Gill, Gary Roberts and Orpik, then you aren't going to be pleased. The Pens will cheap shot as good as anybody when need be, they just do it a lot less than the Flyers b/c they're not stupid. But I've seen Ruutu swing his stick like a freakin' axe - tactics Flyers fans mistake for "old time, tough, physical hockey." Cheap shot Crosby, and Richards and Carter will find out how fun the ICU can be. The Pens can play any game you want them to play. The Flyers can only play one.
