The only thing worse is a Cowboy fan who grew up in Philly. Total scum of the earth.

You are right when you say there is an etiquette to follow but you are not smart enough to figure out that EVERYONE should follow that same etiquette. Did it ever occur to you that maybe the people without etiquette were from Philadelphia? According to the original poster the NY fans were just walking along minding their own business when they were harrassed. Now tell us what etiquette they broke. Mgardner who was wearing a Phillies cap was then harrassed. Who doesn't have etiquette when it is a Phillies fan vs a Phillies fan. Statistically when there is a fight at a Philadelphia game it is most likely local fan vs another local fan. Does anyone remember the opening day fiasco a few years ago when Bonner vs St Joes Prep brawl took place in the outfield? That was typical Philadelphia.

Philadelphia fans are scumbags.

cOllins, I have a social experiment to prove you wrong. You attended a Mets game without any problems. The next time the Mets play here you should wear a Mets jersey to Citizen Bank Park.

I have a partial season ticket plan and this year does seem more 'hostile' down there. I can see why Sunday night was bad...there was way more of an Eagles-game-feel, which I guess is because of the late start/amount of tailgating that went on. And it was going both ways...the Mets fans were doing a lot of the yapping, waving flags, holding up signs, etc.

But I also noticed a lot of Cubs fans getting an earful the previous weekend. Even middle-aged Cubs fans that seemed to be minding their own business watching the game. That is when it goes over the line, in my opinion.

Mets vs Phillies, Cubs vs Phillies, Cowboys vs Eagles, Redskins vs Eagles, Anyone vs Philly. Notice the trend? The out of town fans are not the problem. The problem is Philadephia fans are scumbags. Open your eyes and look at all the scumbags in this city. I am talking about the people that leave garbage in their front yards.

I don't buy the etiquette excuse. When I have attended out of town games the fans in those stadiums were fine. When those same fans come here they are probably fine. On the other hand I have never been to an Eagles game without an incident. Most of the time it is one drunkin Eagles fan vs another drunkin Eagles fan.

1)I don't play soccer

2)Yea you contribute a whole lot to those threads too. What will you do with your life once Philly finally wins a Championship? Do what all the Mets fans did after the collapse last year and hide in your cave and wait for permission from ESPN to come out?

At least three police cars set on fire after Habs' win

Associated Press

MONTREAL -- At least three police cars were set on fire in downtown Montreal on Monday night after the Canadiens beat the Boston Bruins in Game 7 of their playoff series.
Cable news channel LCN caught images of the destructive celebration from a camera in a helicopter. People could be seen smashing a police car before it was set ablaze.
Montreal police spokeswoman Annie Lemieux confirmed in a statement on the department's voicemail that at least three police cars had been set on fire a few blocks away from the Bell Centre, where the Canadiens beat the Bruins 5-0.
"Many arrests have been made," Lemieux said. "Fortunately, no one seems to have been seriously injured so far."
