Though I am (and have long been) a Phillies fan, I have a lot of respect for our biggest division rivals (as well as any other opposing team) and see no absolutely no problem with their fans showing their support. Why am I in the minority?

Possibly our long and not-so-glorious recent history of painful losses, coupled with Philly often being compared unfavorably with NY in general? I don't know, just a guess. I will say, it is incredibly annoying and frustrating to go to Phillies games and be surrounded by Mets fans, especially if the Phillies aren't winning.

What's more, I'm in a mixed-team marriage...I'm a Phillies fan, he's a Mets fan. It's tough, but we make it work somehow.

The reason your players should have to hear the Mets fans cheer is because you have lousy fans and you can't sellout your own stadium. If you don't want Mets fans at the games then you should buy the tickets yourselves.

PS. The Phillies advertise ticket sales in NY on WFAN.
