Now that we know the dance partner, let the anticipation begin!
The Bucs - Niners game has only been over for about two hours, but I'm already getting excited. The Bucs will hardly be push-overs, but I really think this team has their number. Kind of like the Giants had the Eagles number before last season. Reading some of the post-game comments, even Warren Sapp realizes this is a tough task for them, which I think is very important. This team, this stadium, these fans and the weather are in their heads and that can be huge. They're going to be fired up, but it's still in their heads. Another reason I'm getting excited is the chance for the city to put on a show. There will be reporters, league officials, etc. coming to the game that haven't been to the city for a long time. They're going to see the top notch facilities the Eagles now have available. They're going to see a lot of the growth of the city. And I think they're going to see the fans at their passionate, supportive best. Fingers crossed on getting lucky at noon on Tuesday. |

oh this will without quesiton be a great showcase for Philadelphia.
Last week was the start of it ... I don't know if any of you are loopy like me and stay up until all hours of hte night watching the channel 6 Total Access after the game, but jim Gardner was on with gary papa ... he was saying how great it was for the city, the fans were terrific and respectful, the Vet was still standing,e tc. - and this week will be even bigger ... as they said on TV, imagine opening a brand new stadium with a World Championship banner!!! How cool would that be?

Not only will this be a great showcase for Philly, our team and our fans, but just think about the positive effects that a trip to the Superbowl and a win would have upon this city. One of the best things about the Eagle's run has been the way people, communities and neighborhoods have come together to support them. From Center City to the Burbs there are banners, flags and signs everywhere! Just imagine how much better and more fun this could get?!

ESPN.com: 5 reasons why each team will win
I'll admit I have a serious Eagles bias, but the 5 Bucs reasons seem pretty thin to me. Also, I don't understand why so many writers are making such a big deal about the Bucs coming so close to the Super Bowl a couple seasons back. Last time I checked, the Eagles came just as close last season. Whatever. I just can't wait for Sunday to arrive. |

Geez 'o Pete. I was happy to root for the Eagles from Atlanta. Now the rest of my family, which is located in Florida (including Tampa), is being true-blue (green??) down there. What a great football year (especially since the 'Fins and Gators sorta tanked.)
Go Eagles! |

Yeah, I thought it was pretty funny. If nothing else, you have to give the Daily News credit for creativity.
I'll toss up here what I found on the Tampa area newspaper sites. The first one deals with Sapp. Devil is in the details Philly trip not worth risk, Bucs fans say |
