Default Mini Golf in Center City!

I think Center City needs a Mini Golf course, not a gaudy shore one, but a nice big themed one. I know I'd be there. what do you think? If I made one would you go? I'd go for like 10th and bainbridge area. By the baseball field.

Default Or

Or down in that weed-grown lot across from the Riverview Cinema on Delaware Ave. I know there used to be - what? - a driving range? or something there, but not recently.

Mini golf would be cool, speaking as a parent of a young child.

I totally agree. How about right on Broad and South where the garden is! The "Garden People" who own it now can take care of the landscaping in the mini golf course... I'd be willing to invest !

That's a good idea - another example of the suburbanization of Philadelphia. Seriously, though, that's a good idea.

By the way, why is your name "Hey Suburbia"???

Default Philly obstacles

Wow... the possibilities are endless

the "City Hall labyrinth"
the "I-95 trench of death"
the "patronage morass" (a large area of very sticky glop out of which one can only escape by greasing the palm of the mini-golf attendant)

I've been talking to my girlfriend, and my co-workers and they all love the idea and think it'll be a wonderful addition to the city and South St. I'm starting to think this could become a reality...

-I'm 22 years old
-I work full time
-I have around 15,000 in the bank
-I have zero experience in real estate or management
-I'm a computer programmer
-Not sure how to even go about this, but for some reason I think it could work.
-I'm willing to invest time and money

-Do I get a loan?
-Who owns the garden on Broad and South?
-Do I need permits/etc...?

-I could open a Quizno's subs inside (Quickly expanding franchise)
-Open late like Lorenzo's and Jims
-5$ a person
-maybe live music from time to time
-philadelphia themed
-2 for 1 deals
-kids under 5 free
-under 10 2.50$
-Monthly competitions

There's a lot of potential here
Anybody have suggestions or willing to do something?

Is this a pipe dream?

Thanks, let me know...
